Voila! It is here! Equinity is the recommendation from a friend. I have decided to make a list of measurement and evaluations to see if this product is a good fit for us. I am calling it Charlies Equinety Challenge. Charlie has decided to except this challenge. “Goood boy” Living on the farm is really about seeing what works and what doesn’t. Counting the cost and seeing if what you are buying is worth paying for. Measurable data is always a good way to tell if you are on the right track. I would love to here about your challenges on the farm or even better if you would like to try out Equinity with us it would be fun to see your results.
On our last outing to the mountains Charlie was a bit exhausted. I did get off and walk for a while, since I don’t always go to the mountains and I am very much a pleasure rider, I thought it would be best to take some measurements and see what we got. It has been a month and this is what I am seeing so far.
Neck:
In Charlies Equinety challenge you can see that in a month Charlies neck has grown 5 cm. You go boy!
Girth:
June 11, 2020 Girth 180 cm July 9, 2020 Girth 183 cm
Measuring his girth was a 3 cm difference.
Flank:
June 11, 2020 Waist line 174 cm July 9, 2020 Waist line 187 cm
Ok so this was a 14 cm difference. While taking the equinety challenge the disclaimer is I am not sure that I was measuring at the same time of day so there my be some grassy discrepancy in there. I will also note that Equinety needs a carrier so I have been giving about a cup or two on wet cob. It seems to stick nicely. People are always complaining about how sugar is so bad for you. I will not forget from my college nutrition class that it is just another form of energy. If you are not diabetic it can be used as a very agreeable way of delivering essential nutrients. In reading the label this has a lot of amino acids and they are the building blocks of DNA so I think a little sugar is just fine.
At first I did try dry cob and a bit of water, but there was a bit too much slobber for me. Hehe. Just in thinking now I may try a little wheatgerm oil. I would love to know what you think is the best delivery? Weigh in in the comments. Let me know what you think. In looking back my tape may not be at the exact same spot either….
Right Forearm:
June 11, 2020 Right forearm 38 cm July 9, 2020 Right forearm 40 cm
Now this is my favorite. This is his leg and is a 2 cm difference. I feel like this is a good representation of building some muscle. There really isn’t fat on the leg and you can see that we have an increase. Yay! This is the one I am looking forward to measuring again next month.
Va-va-voom:
June 11, 2020 Hips -va va voom 59 cm July 9, 2020 Hips va va voom 59 cm
Ok this over the hip measure was the one I don’t feel like gave a fair measure to. When I measured the first time it was just hip to hip. The second time I measured I made a note of measuring from the top of the point of hip to the other top. I wasn’t really thinking about it the first time. The equinety challenge will be fun to see what our next measurement will bring.
Nice Derrière:
Another unfair assessment for you is I didn’t get a derrière picture from June, butt here is where I am seeing a good difference from a month ago. And why I think my hip tape is wrong.
Side View:
June 11, 2020 Right side picture July 9,2020 Side profile
Since I could not figure a good way to measure across his loin, I went with the side shot. If you can come up with a measurement for this that would be great!!
Profile Picture:
Since our last profile picture is just from July sorry no comparison. Charlie is a Peruvian Paso and so of course he puts forth a lot of effort to get places I am ready to see what the rest of the summer brings.
